Located in Orange County California, Santa Ana College is one of the largest community college institutions in the state. The college offers a wide variety of programs to earn a degree or certificate, transfer to a four-year college or university, or obtain workforce training and future educational interests.
Using Measure O funding the College planned an upgrade to the existing campus gymnasium. The renovation required removal of the existing concrete slab, pouring 6 inches of fresh concrete and the installation of a new wood flooring system in just 50 days!
Synthetics International contributed consulting services, onsite inspections and installation supervision during the application of the Synthetic30 moisture treatment. With a short construction schedule, limited concrete drying time and moisture vapor emission results of up to 16 lbs., the construction team demanded performance and guaranteed results.
In just 24 hours of drying time the Synthetic30 moisture treatment reduced moisture emission levels to a low 1.2 lbs. per ASTM F1869 testing. That's a 92.5% vapor reduction change when compared to pre-installation moisture testing results and the performance needed to quickly start a successful wood flooring installation.
Hundreds of sporting events from Martial arts to badminton are held at the Santa Ana College Gym each year.All directly over a Synthetics International moisture treatment reference without even knowing it!
