Completed a few years earlier, the new 3 story core and shell building will be upgraded by MYNG Architects and SC Anderson Construction into a full service Kaiser Permanente specialty clinic and medical office building. A total of 44,000 square feet of space will be transformed and operational to thousands of Kern County residence within 9 months.
Working with MYNG Architects, Synthetics International's Synthetic30 was specified to eliminate concrete moisture at 14,000 square feet of newly poured concrete. After just 2 weeks of drying, the new concrete, all cracks, penetrations and joints were treated with the Synthetic30 moisture treatment, primed and coated with a thin layer of cement topcoat. The Synthetic30 and cement topcoat will serve as the substrate for many of the tenant improvement processes and eventually provide the moisture compliant surface for the rubber flooring system.
Synthetics International was pleased to contribute to the new Kaiser Permanente facility and offer long term protection for the new flooring system.
